Meadow Brook Amphitheatre Rules

To make sure that all attendees can have a safe and undisrupted concert experience, the Meadow Brook Amphitheater has put in place the following rules. Please read before attending any live event as these must be carried out at all times.

You will not be allowed into the venue if you have any of the prohibited items below on person; Alcohol that you have brought outside the premises, any kind of glass bottles or cans, any items that could be used as a weapon, illegal substances, devices that can record, animals, fireworks, explosives of any sort, laser pointers, aerosol cans, professional cameras and equipment such as selfie sticks, tripods etc.

For safety purposes, the Meadow Brook Amphitheatre has plenty of rules in place that you’ll want to abide by. Build in some extra time before your event to go through security checks, and make sure you are aware of what’s allowed before you head to the amphitheater.

Bags

The most important thing to know about rules relating to the Meadow Brook Amphitheatre is that most bags are not permitted. The maximum bag size is 4 inches x 6 inches x 1.5 inches, which is more the size of a wallet.

There are exceptions for medical needs or diaper bags. However, even the bags that fall under these exceptions must be under 16 inches x 16 inches x 8 inches. These bags may be searched before entry to the venue.

Re-entry

Another crucial rule to remember is that once you have entered the venue, you cannot leave and then come back in again. It doesn’t matter whether you still have your ticket or not. So, make sure you have everything you need from your car before you go in!

Security screening

All entrants to the Meadow Brook Amphitheatre must go through a security screening before entering. This could mean going through a metal detector, being scanned by a wand, or receiving a pat down. Attendees with disabilities should speak to a staff member if they cannot receive any of these three types of screenings.

Photography and recording

GoPros and any kind of recording glasses such as Google Glass are not allowed. Drones are also not permitted. Tripods, monopods and cameras that use lenses longer than 8 inches aren’t allowed either.

Otherwise, rules relating to camera usage can vary according to performer preferences. You can call 313-471-7000 to check what’s permitted for your specific event.

Other electronic devices and accessories

Laptops, tablets, and portable radios are permitted. Headphones are allowed as well.

You can take umbrellas into the amphitheater with you as long as they do not have pointed tips that could injure a person. You can’t use them in the venue unless rain is preventing the performance from occurring, and you can’t block anyone else’s view with them.

Blankets and soft cushions without metal are permitted.

Disruptions

Items that could be loud and disruptive such as bullhorns are not permitted. In general, event attendees may not interfere with the enjoyment of other attendees or create a disruption. With that in mind, clothes worn in the venue must not have inappropriate words.

Animals
